We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Graduate to Graduate+2 Civil Engineer to join our team. Delivering unique, sustainable and technically challenging projects, as part of wider development as well as civil engineering led schemes, ranging in scale from £2m to £200m.
In the role, your key responsibilities will involve:
- Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project leaders to develop innovative solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the decision-making process.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Support the team in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Your Technical Toolbox should include:
- Experience in using Civils 3D to undertake cut and fill analysis; highway design and detail drainage design with integration of drainage modelling software; vertical and horizontal vehicle tracking.
- Modelling and assessing complex drainage networks which fully embrace SuDS using industry standard software (InfoDrainage and MicroDrainage).
- Up to date knowledge of National and Local Planning Policy to be able to produce Flood Risk assessments and Drainage reports for planning.
- Familiarity and clear understanding of current UK design standards and guidance
- Knowledge in external works design including paved and asphalt surfaces, earthwork specifications and industrial concrete slabs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
