This building has been extensively remodelled and refurbished as a family home. Mainly focusing on the rear of the property, we worked closely with Project 3 Architects to remodel the interior and design a new floating rear extension. The remodelled interior provides a contemporary family living space, connecting directly to the new extension. Propped by a single 76mm diameter column, the bifold doors at the rear open up to further connect the living space via steps with the garden.
In 2017, this building won Manchester Society of Architects Awards for ‘One off house-built’ and ‘Small project of the year – built’.
