This exciting high end residential development for market rent is being designed by mecanno architecten for One Manchester. 120 new apartments will be provided on this site which was once the location of a major bathhouse for the area until the mid-1900’s. The 1940’s bombing of the site resulted in a high risk of UXO’s being found, however, this potential risk has been demonstrated as being ALARP. The piled foundation solution to the steel framed superstructure will require localised probing to manage the likely obstructions of the historical bathhouse foundations which are still underlying the site.
The project is due to start on site April 2016 with Keepmoat recently appointed as the preferred contractor.
