This building was bought by the Nutter family in 2014. It’s refurbishment and new contemporary extension has provided a new relaxed pub-dining environment in the Rochdale area. We worked with H Bell & Sons and CJ Partnership Architects, justifying the existing building to accommodate a substantial side extension and rear viewing balcony. We also considered the change of use. The new extension accommodates the commercial grade kitchen and the existing building hosts the bar and dining space, with internal walls having been removed to create an open space.
The new building was re-opened in 2016 and won an LABC award for ‘Best Small Commercial Project’ in 2017.
