Situated in a conservation area in the heart of Salford, this former bank building, constructed in the 1930’s, is to be reinvigorated to form high-end apartments.
Using our knowledge of historic building techniques and understanding of the codes and regulations from the time the building was constructed, we have justified the existing structure and foundations to accommodate an additional two floors on the existing three storey building without the need for foundation strengthening works. Furthermore, our review of the existing and new structure with regard to progressive collapse has resulted in minimal interventions to achieve code and regulation compliance.
The project has recently achieved planning and will be starting on site in Autumn 2017.
