We are collaborating with Straw Works on a number of exciting projects mainly in the private sector. One project currently underway is the eco-friendly Visitor Centre at Cuerden Valley Park in Lancashire. This is a £400,000 self build project that will house a café and function room. “The Design concept is driven by the desire not only to minimise the impact of fossil fuel energy reserves during the building phase but also to consume minimal fossil fuel energy during the lifetime of the building”.
The Piggery is a private residential project in Southampton. This single storey house sited on a narrow plot is surrounded by numerous mature and semi-mature trees. Designed in collaboration with Sam Foster Architects , Gaia Research as well as Straw Works, the design combines contemporary architecture with non-traditional building materials.
Other projects include the Bronte Potting Shed, Kings Cliffe House and Tulse Hill Parish Community Centre.
